Community-led monitoring in a changing world: Pre-conference summary report

Community-led monitoring (CLM) has had remarkable impacts on health services. It is an evidence-informed mechanism through which communities identify and articulate the health issues, service issues and/or inequalities they face. In the context of finite resources and evolving priorities CLM is more important than ever. The full-day pre-conference, “Community-led monitoring in a changing world”, held on 21 July at AIDS 2024 in Munich, Germany, explored the impact of CLM to date and discussed the future of this powerful social accountability mechanism.
